This is a product information course from Steiriliu on several of their current products: The Bur Butler, The EndoButler, The LaminateButler
and the Deep Pouche.
The Bur Butler helps present an organised, simple, sterile and safe solution for dental burs. To protect against aerosol contamination and improve efficiency in the dental practice.
There is also a module on how the EndoButler which can be used as a tool for providing a systematic approach to preparing and presenting a sterile “procedure kit” for endodontic procedures.
The LaminateButler is designed to keep multiple restorative components such as crowns, veneers and implant components ordered and sterile for delivery .
To introduce the benefit of heat-sealed “3D” Deep autoclave pouches to reduce waste and autoclave space.

Paul has been a dentist for 40 years, qualified is Sheffield UK 1981.
Whilst not a specialist, Paul has focused on Cad Cam dentistry and has been the Cerec trainer for Ireland since 2002.
The practice had the first CBCT in Europe to enhance the implant and digital dentistry offering a wide range of implant and cosmetic solutions focusing on aesthetic and restorative dentistry.
Paul has now moved to a specialist practice to offer prosthodontic solutions in a multidisciplinary practice.
Paul started the journey into “inventions” along with Hazel Hendy and they now offer innovative, re-usable, autoclavable solutions for dental bur management with the BurButler, which won the Maloney award in Ireland, was named in the top 100 products for dentistry by Dr Gordon Christensen (CRA).The company Steiriliu, now has distributors in 20 countries and sells directly online around the world to provide simple, safe and stylish solutions to problems faced in everyday dental practice.

- To highlight best practice in dental bur organisation, safe practice and cross infection control and present an organised management system for all your burs.
- To understand how the EndoButler allows you to measure, clean and separate the files you have used from the files you have not, but still have access to the range you may need during any given procedure.
- To show how to LaminateButler helps organise restorative cementations with a sterile, notated “palate” that will allow the dentist to correlate the parts to be fitted to the teeth on a sterile silicon “pad”.

In this video lecture, Mr Richard Whatley of BioMin gives our members an overview of the science related to enamel sensitivity and remineralisation.
BioMin is a new toothpaste which incorporates Bioactive glasses which provide slow release of flouride and has been shown to reduce sensitivity and help enamel remineralisation.
This new technology will be of interest to both Dentists and Hygienists but also to Dental nurses who are bound to be asked about this new toothpaste.
Bioactive glasses are a group of surface reactive glass-ceramic biomaterials. The biocompatibility of these glasses has led them to be investigated extensively for use as implant materials in the human body to repair and replace diseased or damaged bone.

Mr Richard Whatley is the CEO of BioMin and has 30 years of dental chemistry knowledge.
