In this presentation, Dr Raj Rattan looks at how you can best prepare for the future and how you can stay ahead of the crowd. He will take an in-depth look at the CQC and what that means to you. It will cover what you need to know to make sure you are fully covered in terms of the NHS regulations and also identify the common dento-legal pitfalls and how to avoid them.
Speaker Profile
Dr Raj Rattan, Postgraduate Associate Dean of London Deanery and Dentist.
Raj is a graduate of University College Hospital, London. He is a general dental practitioner and maintains his commitment to clinical dentistry at his practices, combining this with his role of Associate Dean in the London Deanery.
Raj has considerable experience of the NHS and the private sector. A member of the original Options for Change task group in 2001, Raj was then appointed as a Policy Advisor to the Department of Health, where he served his three-year term and continues to act as a professional advisor to NHS and private sector organisations on a consultancy basis.
Raj Rattan is currently Associate Dean with responsibility for dental vocational training in the London Deanery. Raj has authored/co-authored several textbooks, published numerous articles in the dental press, and been involved in new media publishing initiatives involving e-learning and CD-ROM based materials for general dental practice. He is a former examiner for the FGDP and a visiting lecturer/Teaching Fellow to a number of postgraduate teaching programmes, and has lectured widely in the UK and overseas.
He first worked as a Dento-Legal Advisor for Dental Protection in 1993 before becoming a Senior Dento-Legal Consultant in 2011. Raj was appointed Dental Diector of Dental Protection in 2016.
